The studio is owned and directed by Jaana Lillemagi. Her dancing career started at an early age of six in Estonia where she became a two-time national champion in the International Styles. In the United States she focused on the American Styles earning respectable titles including Finalist in the U.S. National Professional American Style 9 Dance Championships (2010) and 1st place in the Ohio Star Ball Rising Star Rhythm (2009).
Even though Jaana has a B.A. and M.A. in Economics, her passion for dancing has become her full-time career in teaching, training and performing.
Jaana and her team of instructors are very excited to give back to the Naperville/Aurora area some of what the world of dance has given them over the years.
Nick is another of My Dance Hub’s talented instructors and competitors. Originally from the Naperville area, Nick is happy to be doing what he loves close to home. Upon pursuing a career in physical therapy he stumbled across ballroom dance.
Originally a hip hop dancer, he made the change and has flourished as an entertaining and charismatic instructor. Nick loves salsa, which is why he is our Tuesday night Salsa group class instructor, but don’t be fooled.
Nick’s knowledge surpasses the salsa syllabus. Nick is DVIDA certified and is fluent in all dance styles.
Caleb, originally from Indiana, started teaching ballroom dance in 2006. Prior to teaching he was a competitive cheerleader and coach, an experience that helped him transition into ballroom.
Caleb is knowledgeable in all four dance styles: Latin, Standard, Rhythm and Smooth. Not only is Caleb a certified instructor but also an experienced rhythm and smooth competitor. Along with choreographing routines, he helps our ladies with their competition hair styles and costume design. With his sense of style, elegance and movement, Caleb is a strong member of the MDH team.
Paulina is one of our most vivacious dance instructors. Though Paulina was born in the U.S., she did not start her ballroom training here. It was in Poland where Paulina first started dancing at the age of 8.
She gained experience through various ballroom camps and competitions, and has now studied dance in Poland, Australia and the U.S. After high school, Paulina decided to return to the U.S. to complete her bachelors of science in Neuroscience. She received her degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, along with a minor in kinesiology.
Prior to joining MDH, Paulina cofounded a sporting business in Joliet. She is now a full time instructor who loves challenging herself and her students. It is her goal to motivate her students to be their very best.
