The fastest way to learn is to enroll in private dance lessons. Whether you take lessons alone or with a partner, you will have your instructor’s undivided attention
Private lessons allow for the most flexibility when scheduling your lessons. Since all our instructors are full time, your private lessons can be scheduled between Monday through Sunday based on the instructor’s availability. Lessons do not have to be the same day every week. Even more, the best progress comes when lessons are kept close together. Sometimes it is useful to double up on the lessons to save on travel time. This is especially great for our clients to travel from far. It is not unusual for our instructors to squeeze in the last minute wedding couple and knock off 4-5 lessons in just one week and get them ready for their special event.
Another benefit of private lessons is that they do not revolve around a designated dance(s). On the contrary, the whole curriculum is custom built for the student. For example, a student getting ready for a tropical vacation would be suggested to focus on popular Latin dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cumbia whereas a student looking to get ready for their upcoming wedding would focus solely on their first dance. The goals can also seamlessly transition as the life situations change. There is no better hobby for a newly married couple than social ballroom dance lessons preparing them for all the future weddings and parties they would attend.
Private lessons allow for a more efficient use of the lesson time. The instructor can only focus on the improvement of the student in front of them and can quickly and effectively target areas of opportunities as they arise. Every lesson builds on the next one allowing for a continuous learning.
Last but not least private lessons allow for the chance to learn from the pro directly for the whole lesson. A feeling of correct form, posture, timing, and rhythm can be transferred to a student via physical connection much faster and with way less frustration than when trying to understand it merely through a verbal explanation. Pro-Am also is the best (and the most popular) way that students engage in private lessons since it requires no partner. The professional will be filling the role of a partner. My Dance Hub offers students that take private lessons the opportunity to attend unlimited complimentary group classes. This is a great way to speed up the learning and become a well-rounded dancer quicker. One does not need a partner for group classes – we rotate partners. It is the best way to practice dancing with different partners whether as a leader or as a follower. Our group classes range from ballroom cardio (stamina building class) to more specific advanced technique classes. Check our online calendar for best class times and days.
My Dance Hub also offers semi-private lessons. Good examples are flash mobs, Quinceañeras, bridesmaids/groomsmen dances or just a group of friends that want to take lessons together closed to the public. Please call to inquire about our rates and to book your semiprivate lesson.
