MDH 2020 Recap

Happy New Year everyone!

MDH 2020 Recap! 2020 was definitely a year that was marked by Covid-19. Even though we had cancellations and postponements of many events, we were still able to create many fun memories together. Here is a quick recap of last year, and some of many wonderful memories we shared throughout the year.

In January, we had our Winter Holiday Showcase Event at the spectacular Mesón Sabika Tapas Restaurant. The evening started with cocktails, progressed on to showstopping performances, continued with a delicious dinner, and ended with some fun social dancing.

During the summer, we hosted an outdoors “parking lot” social party. It was the first time that we were able to see each other after months of no events.

As the year came to a close, some of our competing students represented My Dance Hub at the South Open Competition in Florida. They danced their mambos, foxtrots, rumbas, swings and even fun showcases. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments.

We knew that we had to finish the year with a bang. Our first annual Virtual Showcase was a success. Students were able to bring their dancing dreams to life. From the sassy Cha cha, to the classical Waltz, and a very special Wedding Couple’s First Dance. Thank You to everyone that participated, and helped make it possible. Now as we begin 2021, we want to continue to provide the cleanest and safest environment, and will be following these guidelines.

  1. We are only offering private lessons and our goal is to keep number of people at any given moment in the studio to a minimum.
  2. In between every lesson there will be a small break to allow time for handwashing, and cleaning, as necessary.
  3. Each person entering the studio must wash their hands before and after their lesson.
  4. A mask is required for both the student and the teacher.
  5. We ask anyone showing any symptoms of Covid-19, or not feeling well, to not enter the studio.
